The Settings page is your central control panel for ClickIntent's global preferences — geolocation tracking, data management, webhooks, and uninstall behaviour. Access it at ClickIntent → Settings in your WordPress admin.

General

The General section controls site-wide behaviour that applies across all Sections.

Geolocation Tracking
Enable geolocation tracking for click events. When enabled, visitor IP addresses are sent to ip-api.com to determine approximate country, region and city. This data is stored in your database and shown in the Performance by Region table on the Analytics page.
⚠ Enabling this stores visitor IP addresses and geolocation data. Ensure your privacy policy discloses this to your site visitors.

About geolocation tracking

Geolocation tracking is disabled by default. When you enable it, ClickIntent transiently sends each visitor's IP address to ip-api.com at the moment of a click event to resolve their approximate country, region, and city. The IP address is never written to your database — it is used only for the lookup and immediately discarded. Only the resolved location data (country, region, city) is stored.

You can enable or disable geolocation tracking at any time. Disabling it stops all new location lookups immediately; previously collected location data remains in your database unless you perform a data reset.

⚠️
Privacy policy disclosure required If you enable geolocation tracking, your site's privacy policy should disclose that visitor location data (country, region, city) is collected via click events. Even though IP addresses are not stored, the resolved location data may constitute personal data under GDPR and similar regulations. Consult a qualified privacy professional for guidance specific to your situation.

Data & Uninstall Preference

This section controls what happens to your data when the plugin is uninstalled.

Data & Uninstall Preference
Delete all data on uninstall
When checked, all leads, events, settings, and database tables created by ClickIntent will be permanently removed when the plugin is deleted. When unchecked (default), all data is preserved on uninstall.
ℹ️
Deactivation always preserves data This setting only takes effect when the plugin is fully deleted via Plugins → Installed Plugins → Delete. Deactivating the plugin never removes any data regardless of this setting.

Webhook Settings Pro

Webhook Settings are available with an active ClickIntent Pro license. This section lets you configure a URL to receive real-time push notifications when a lead is submitted or a conversion is recorded.

Webhook Settings · Pro
Webhook URL
Enter the endpoint URL where ClickIntent should send webhook payloads. Must be a publicly accessible HTTPS or HTTP URL. Private network addresses (e.g. localhost, 192.168.x.x) are not permitted.
Webhook Logs
A log table below the URL field records every webhook delivery attempt — including the HTTP response code, response body, and whether the delivery succeeded or failed. Failed deliveries can be retried individually using the Retry button next to each log entry.

For full details on how webhooks work, payload format, and troubleshooting, see the Webhooks section of the Pro Features page.

Delete / Reset All Data Pro

The data reset option is available with an active ClickIntent Pro license. It permanently deletes all leads, events, and webhook logs from your database in one operation, while leaving your Section configurations and plugin settings intact.
