Leads
Every time a visitor completes your lead capture form, ClickIntent creates a lead record with their contact details and stores it in your WordPress database. The Leads page is your central inbox for all captured contacts.
Accessing Leads
Go to ClickIntent → Leads in your WordPress admin sidebar. The page displays a paginated, searchable table of all leads captured across all your Sections.
What's stored in a lead record
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The name submitted by the visitor in the lead capture form. |
| The visitor's email address. | |
| Phone | The visitor's phone number. |
| Section | The Section CTA that triggered the lead capture form. |
| Page URL | The URL of the page where the CTA was clicked. |
| Page Title | The title of the page at the time of submission. |
| Date & Time | Timestamp of when the form was submitted. |
Exporting leads
Lead export is available with ClickIntent Pro. The Leads CSV export (available from the Analytics page) downloads a spreadsheet-ready file containing all lead records — name, email, phone, section, page URL, and timestamp — reflecting any active date filters.
How leads are captured
A lead record is created when a visitor:
- Clicks a ClickIntent CTA button on your site.
- Sees the lead capture modal (a form asking for name, email, and phone).
- Fills in and submits the form.
The form submission is validated server-side before the lead is stored. Submissions that fail spam checks are silently rejected and never appear in your Leads table.
Privacy considerations
Leads contain personal contact information. A few important points:
- All data is stored in your own WordPress database — ClickIntent does not transmit lead data to any external server, unless you configure a webhook to do so.
- Under GDPR and similar regulations, leads may constitute personal data. You are responsible for disclosing collection in your Privacy Policy and for responding to subject access or deletion requests.
- All leads can be wiped at once using the Data Reset feature in ClickIntent Pro or while uninstalling ClickIntent plugin using preferences on Settings page.
